My husband has been a member of this congregation since the early 90’s. He brought me to the church when we began dating in 2010. A wonderful and loving congregation where everyone is accepted to praise our Lord. Paul Cady, our music director uplifts us with his musical talents and voice. First United Methodist Church-Canoga Park is a welcoming and faith-based church. The members are involved in the community.

Currently, the church set up a Fire Recovery Fund to help those who lost their homes during the SoCal fires. Donations are being accepted from the community (as well as its members) by mailing a check, payable to FUMC-CP (Fire Recovery Fund written on the memo line), to the church at 22700 Sherman Way, West Hills, CA 91307

Recently, for our Advent Project, we collected $2,800 worth of gift cards from church members and donated them to two homeless shelters so the children could have Christmas gifts.

The church continues with its donations to the homeless shelters. Recently it donated enough blankets for each resident to have a new one. Clothes, shoes, diapers, etc. have been recently donated. Preparations have been made to give each child a Valentine's Day treat.

The church has services every Sunday at 10:00am. All are invited!

My family has been part of this church for almost 13 years now. Even when we moved in a little further location and tried other churches in that area, it didn't take us much time to come back and attend this church. People are so loving and caring that they are willing to help you not only to strengthen you spiritually but to be there as family. We are so blessed to be part of this congregation. Thank you, Lord, for this blessing..

I've been a member for 20+ years. It's a very welcoming and caring church with Bible based sermons. Post Covid, our Pastor, Elaine Shin-Paull is breathing new life into the church. We love her! The best part of the church is our church family. A bunch of great people who love God and know how to support each other!

First UMC of Canoga Park also supports the community through renting out the facilities to 18 different Non-Profit groups including Self-Help, Learning, Youth Leadership, Singing, and Religious organizations. We're making a difference in the West San Fernando Valley!!

We recently had a plant sale and raised $950 for The Good Samaritan Fund. Helping those in need!!

It is my home church that supports its members, the community, and anyone in need. My heart is filled to walk in Christ with each service. The Preschool has been PERMANENTLY CLOSED for more than a year.

I have been a part of this church for a couple of years now, and I can wholeheartedly say this church community is warm, kind, mature and very caring! The members are genuinely supportive and welcoming, making it a wonderful place for spiritual growth and fellowship.
